The best iPhone chargers at a glance
In this article, we would like to take a closer look at the currently available iPhone chargers. Apple generally recommends using the original device supplied, but there are also numerous high-quality third-party manufacturers who also enable your smartphone to be charged quickly and safely.
Especially in terms of charging capacity and connection options, products from third-party manufacturers are a lot more innovative than Apple. In terms of price, the products are all on a similar level, you should generally refrain from particularly cheap products, as they often use inferior components.
Anker PowerPort PD 2
One of the most popular USB chargers is the Anker PowerPort PD 2. This comes in a beautiful „Apple-Like“ design and also offers two USB ports for charging. In addition to a conventional Type-A plug, there is also a Type-C port, so that the charging process can be further accelerated – if a suitable USB Type-C to Lightning cable is used.
In the past we have already published a detailed test report on this iPhone charger here on Xgadget.de – we came to a good conclusion there.

Anker PowerPort III Mini
If you prefer something a little more compact, the Anker PowerPort 3 Mini is also a good choice. It should be noted that a corresponding USB Type-C to Lightning cable is also required here. After that, the small charger delivers up to 30 watts and is also extremely easy to take with you. We also published a test report on this product a few months ago.

Apple 12 Watt USB Power Adapter
This charger comes directly from Apple and offers a maximum charging power of 12 watts, so your iPhone or iPad will be charged a little more slowly than with the chargers mentioned above – you will receive an original Apple product in return. Like the other products, this one can also be delivered via Prime and will be with you quickly. The device has a classic USB type A port and can be used directly with the charging cable supplied with your iPhone.
Apple 12W USB Power Adapter (power pack) EUR 34.90
Lightning to USB-C charging cable
If you have decided on a charger with a USB-C port, you should also have the right charging cable, in which case you will need a Type-C to Lightning cable. In the following we have linked you to a cheap charging cable certified by Apple:
offer
Syncwire USB C to Lightning Cable, 1m/3.3ft [Apple MFi Zertifiziert] Type C Lightning Charging Cable Support Power Delivery Fast Charging for Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max XS Max XS XR X 8 8 Plus and More 11.39 EUR
Avoid no-name products
No matter which charger you finally decide on, you should refrain from the particularly cheap and unknown ones. With these products, savings are often made on the component quality, so that under certain circumstances short circuits can occur which, in the worst case, even destroy your device.
In rare cases, particularly cheap USB power supplies can even catch fire – so you should categorically reject offers for less than 5 euros each, at least if your safety is important to you.
